About Soloman Shah, MD
Since 1999, Soloman Shah, MD, has cared for patients at Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates, which maintains offices in Reston and Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Soloman Shah joined the practice after completing a gastroenterology fellowship and an internal medicine residency at the University of Maryland Hospital. Earlier, he earned an MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a BA from the University of Virginia.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Soloman Shah has contributed original research to such publications as Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Journal of Gastroenterology. He stands out as coleader of the Hemoprompt Project, a hemoccult testing development program, and has participated in a project investigating elements of inflammatory bowel disease and its pathogenesis. In addition, Dr. Shah has conducted studies into the treatment of colonic Dieulafoy's lesion.
Outside of his clinical and research responsibilities, Dr. Soloman Shah has served as an assistant instructor of medicine and an instructor of physical diagnosis.
