The AGA and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Launch New IBD Conference

As an MD with Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates, Dr. Soloman Shah has treated patients in Reston, Virginia, and the surrounding area for nearly two decades. Dr. Shah also maintains affiliations with Inova Fair Oaks Hospital and the Reston Hospital Center. Alongside these work-related associations, Soloman Shah, MD, belongs to several professional groups, including the American Gastrointestinal Association (AGA). 

In a recent press release, the Association announced that it is partnering with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to launch the Crohn’s and Colitis Congress, a conference to help scientists and clinicians provide high-quality care to the over 1.6 million Americans with these diseases. At the inaugural Crohn’s and Colitis Congress, which will be held in Las Vegas in January 2018, physicians and researchers who focus on inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) will learn about holistic, patient-centered approaches to IBD care. 

Attendees will also learn about the latest research to improve treatments and develop cures for IBD. Members of the American Gastrointestinal Association and the Foundation are currently working with an organizing committee to plan the events and activities to be held at the Crohn’s and Colitis Congress.
